We bought this to replace our set from 2013 also GE. Their products seem to be Quality. We redid Kitchen only reason We replaced everything, everything still was in working condition just upgraded. Dishwasher does a fantastic job and quick. Controls on the front Way better. Very quiet we have to check to see that it™™s done. Fits dishes nicely seems roomy enough pots and pans fit nicely. Drying works Great. Recommended product.

After having 4 GE dishwashers over the last 60 years, I naturally bought a new one. Installation was provided by Queen City out of Charlotte, NC. They did an excellent job. I have no issues with cleaning quality. However the issue I have is the poor fit and quality of the interior parts used. My last GE dishwasher finally had the pump bearing s go out after 20 years-outstanding service, lower drawer still slid in and out perfectly. My new one the drawer wheels constantly slip off the tracks, I have to pick the bottom rack up and manually place it back in place.Please have your QC department look at this issue. Thank you.

We've only had our dishwasher for a couple weeks but so far it cleans well an is very quiet. The design of the silverware basket needs improvement as it is rather short and items can hang over the side and catch the ribber gasket very easily. I still had my old Kenmore basket and swapped it out. Other than the "new improved not made as well because everything is disposable and not repairable" in every product on the market it seems to be working well.

I was disappointed in the quality of this dishwasher. I had to buy connection and electric cord, which I didn't realize. Then after finally getting it installed it was leaking from the door. Water was getting past the seal. I had a plumber out to change a water line under the sink (nothing to do with the dishwasher) and he reinstalled the dishwasher for me. Water was still getting past the gasket but not leaking on the floor. I had a GE repairman out and he replaced the gasket. He said this was normal.

This is a low end GE dishwasher, but a reasonable choice if you don™™t want to spend a lot of money and don™™t use your dishwasher very often. I generally hand wash my dishes except when I have a dinner party and have lots of plates and silverware to clean. The racks on this dishwasher are rather flimsy, the dishwashing cycle is incredibly long, and the unit doesn™™t dry very effectively. I just leave the door open for a few hours until all of the water evaporates so that the racks don™™t rust.

This is one of the most disappointing dishwashers I™™ve owned. The GE GDF535PGR6WW is extremely basic and underperforms in nearly every way. It barely cleans dishes, even when pre-rinsed. The so-called ™drying™ cycle leaves heavy condensation all over the interior, and dishes come out wet hours later. The plastic tub traps odors, making the inside smell unpleasant no matter how often it™™s cleaned. On top of that, the cycles are incredibly long, often running for several hours with poor results. If you™™re considering this model, run far, far away. Spend a little more on a stainless-steel model with real heated drying. You™™ll save yourself a lot of frustration and rewashing

Simple use. Use the 1 hour wash the most. Like the option/ability not to use the drying mode. Can turn on or off the drying mode. I usually just wash the dishes then let them air dry or wipe them off myself. Items in the dishwasher are not soak and wet after the wash cycle is over. Dishwasher is quieter than my old one. It is not as load as I thought it would have been. You can hear it running though. I didn't need the installation kit as there is a hard copper water line and I had hose clamps at my house that could have been used. Wish the installation kit was returnable.

We, in the pass have purchased several dishwashers. This one, in my opinion is the one with the poorest quality material. Example, bottom tray will not stay on the track when rolling in and out. If this dishwasher is an energy efficient appliance, why does it take three Hours to complete a wash cycle. All the previous washers we had washed in about half that time.

Disappointed With Racks

We needed a dishwasher replacement and thought this one looked like it would perfectly suit our needs with its features and price point. Unfortunately, outside of those we have been very disappointed with the dishwasher. We cannot slide the bottom rack in or out as it goes off track, whether there are any dishes loaded or not. It has to be picked up and set in place almost every time. In addition, despite having it for only 9 months, the plastic on the bottom rack has melted off in some places and there is significant rusting.

I originally bought this dishwasher 7/3/23 and registered on 7/5/23. The dishwasher did not dry the dishes at all. I called Lowes about 10-14days later and told them the problem. They said they would switch out the dishwasher but I had to buy a new dishwasher and when the defective dishwasher was returned to the store they would refund my money. Which stinks. I got the new dishwasher and registered it. And I bought insurance on all my appliances that day. Now there is a problem with the dishwasher not starting and and the insurances company can't find any paperwork for me to file a claim. So I am going to have to take all my paper work into Lowes and hope someone can help. (?)

I wish I could give this review a negative star rating. This product will not stand the test of time, it will only take your time and money! We bought this product and the additional warranty 16 months ago and have already needed to have it serviced once and need to replace BOTH top and bottom racks. Of course the racks are not included in the warranty because they are considered ™Aesthetic™.. Of course they wouldn™™t be covered under a warranty, especially when they™™ve completely rotted out and break off in less than a year. Which is terrifying finding broken pieces of the metal rack in your toddlers sippy cups. We were replacing a dishwasher that had been in our home for over 20 years with this dishwasher that will need to be replaced all before two years. And just to touch on how long this dishwasher takes to run a cycle, we timed it before and one ™1 hr wash™ it took 3 hours and on ™normal™ it took 5-6 hours!!! The product is garbage, the warranty is trash. Don™™t waste your money.

Junk that didn't last 200 cycles.

Lasted just long enough to get out of warranty. Then the control panel stopped working. We did no more than 2 loads of dishes so this thing didn't last longer than 200 washes. It isn't the top of the line model but it should last for at least 200 washes. We bought it in 2022 when you had to take what you could get. We should have just hand washed and saved the money. No more GE appliances in my house.
