We called customer care because the dispensing drawer wasn™€™t going back in correctly and it was also holding water and the other liquids after the cycles. Ivy(customer care) suggested that I clean it out with warm water because it is probably clogged. I asked her, why should I have to clean out anything for a new washer? She was adamant about not sending a tech out and just sending me the drawer.

I purchased product in January 2026 received on February 6th 2026 product don't want to perform properly and GE has been giving me the runaround with it they don't honor their warranty. I have video to prove it , email it to their reply. And they sent the technician out for the fourth time and he still can't find anything wrong with it but I have video to prove that it is a problem with the washer. I would advise anybody please do not buy any washers from GE they're service is terrible and they don't honor they warranty. What was the purpose of me doing the video of the machine not functioning properly and then for you to tell me that the technician says it's functioning properly. How is a washer functioning properly when the water fills up drains but doesn't wash and how is it that a washer can drain all of the water out and try to wash with no water in the washer. The lid locks when you first started but afterwards you don't even have to pause it you can just go and lift the lid up. And what is the purpose of having the pause button if I can't pause the machine at any time as long as it's not for a long period of time of 15 minutes then it will cancel out but if it's only for a minute or two what's the problem. Why is it so hard to replace the washer? Buyer beware do not buy anything from GE!!!!!!!!! I have the owner's manual so I'm not dumb to the fact of what's going on you just don't want to replace the washer just horrible service!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that it needs to be a class action lawsuit against them. It is not fair to the people to pay for a machine that don't work and they won't honor the warranty. They keep coming with all kind of excuses which is unnecessary. Everything that is made is not perfect you're going to have some things work good and some things not so why not just fix the problem. If people didn't buy anything from GE would it be a company?

Bad quality plastic on lid

Bought 01/21/2024 In the last year I have been seeing little gray pieces in my tub but did not know where they were coming from then all of a sudden the lid plastic started chipping badly - Seems like the plastic on the lid that surrounds the glass is defective or poor quality now my lid does not close and I can not wash because of the lock. We do Not like this washer from day 1. It is not useful for anything except clothing. It saves water by barely enough water to wet the clothes evenly even on the deep fill setting. You can Not Wash blankets comforters or pillows without issues and constantly it ending the cycle with sopping wet stuff. Then change the setting to drain and spin and it goes out of wack another 10 times. Then fills back up with water to try to r balance then drain again and then out of balance again. It™€™s a horrible machine. I™€™m really unhappy that I chose one that is not acceptable.

BROKE IN 2 YEARS!

We purchased this washer 2 years and 2 months ago. It is no longer working. The 'Lid' is flashing when we try to start a load. We replaced the locking lid which did not resolve the issue. We replaced the control board, which allowed us to wash 1 load before it broke once again. The same "Lid' message is flashing. The technician checked and he believed the locking mechanism is the issue. After spending around ~$300 for parts alone, the issue still has not resolved. WASTE OF MONEY.

If you are open to a machine that excessively shakes (after being balanced by a professional) and a lid that cracks every 3-6 months, buy this machine! The first time it cracked, they very reluctantly replaced and installed a new one. About 3 months later, it cracked again. They offered to replace AGAIN, but want me to pay for install, which is about 1/3 of the cost of the machine :) GE will feed you a line about hanging your clothes on the lid or chemicals wreaking the plastic, but the issue is that it's just make of cheap plastic and a broken lid is inevitable. Honestly just move on to another brand! UPDATE: they are still refusing installation. I will keep updating so everyone is aware of how customer service works for GE:)

Good washer with flaws

I love a lot of things about this washer, which I got two months ago. It gets the clothes clean and gives me a lot of customization options. It can do large loads with no problems. The WIFI is awesome, lets me know when my loads are done. I don™€™t love that I have to use Max Spin on every load to get the clothes reasonably dry even though I have followed all the instructions for loading the washer properly. I don™€™t know if this is normal for this washer or if something is wrong, but even on Max it could be better. Also, the dispenser tray is very difficult to remove and put back, so it sits all the time with water in it because I™€™m afraid it will break.

I hate it. I have to constantly keep an eye on the clothes to make sure they don't shift to one side, because it starts shaking so violently that it looks like it wants to run right out of my garage. A technician had to come out less than a month after I bought it because it became unbalanced. They just don't make them like they used to.

The ™€œfancy™€ lid is attached with a plastic on plastic piece that is guaranteed to eventually break after normal wear and tear. It cost $561, to replace the lid, $375 for the parts plus install. We had this washing machine for 4 months before it exploded! There was water dripping from the ceiling, the washer was in the middle of our laundry room. This was on October 26, 2025. Today is February 25,2026. We are still fighting with GE to replace the washing machine. They sent out a technician that said it couldn™€™t be repaired. GE sent a replacement washer, this washer was all dented up and had paint chips in it. Why would I accept a replacement washer that was already damaged? I purchased the original washer in June of 2025, used it for 4 months, and now do not have a washer, and have been without one for 4 months. Someone at GE needs to make this make sense! Do better GE customer support!

Always going off balance and moving

I have owned this washer for 6 months and had service technician here 3 times; for going off balance and moving several feet from the wall. I restarted and moved clothes around 3 times before it could complete the cycle. The last technician explained this is a characteristic of this washer and there™€™s nothing to repair. Every technician says the same thing. This is a quality control problem GE must address. There should be a recall on this washer. GE is responsible for addressing this problem instead of ignoring it. I will never purchase GE product again.

Not What I Was Expecting

Really like GE Appliances (or I thought). All Kitchen appliances are GE and when my LG washer went out knew I wanted to try a GE (haven™€™t before). Let™€™s say for the money this washer is not what I was hoping for. It is loud. Sounds like grinding gears on a 1960™€™s semi truck and the draining pump almost screams. Out of balance about every load. It shimmies and shakes moving through the laundry room like Elvis. There are things about the washer I like; the controls, the amount of selections, the app, and it does do a decent job cleaning the clothes. I would like nothing more then to give this washer a positive review, but with the noise and balance; I just can™€™t. Need a new dryer too, but don™€™t think I can see buying the matching one if I decide this is washer just won™€™t cut it. Disappointing!!

I bought this appliance in November 2024 and loved it's capacity and cleaning power. Now that I'm out of my warranty period, a door hinge snapped when I was lowering the lid- and I can assure you that I was not mishandling the lid, something just snapped and absolutely scared me. The machine still worked and washed, thankfully, but the lid lock did not come on anymore which is concerning.

Washer and Dryer are horrible! Washer is extremely loud and constantly unbalanced. Clothes come out soaking wet regardless of spin setting. Water rests in the dispenser tray. Dryer does a horrible job. Between the 2, it can take up to 3 hours to wash an dry a small load of towels. Regret this purchase.

First, I have only had this washing machine for 1 year and 3 months. First the rusting and the spots that accumulate when you use fabric softener or bleach is ugly. Problem with towel/sheet and bulky settings. Gets stuck on sensing and won™€™t fill. I have tried multiple times, multiple ways but it won™€™t work and just times out. Can only wash on a normal load setting. Extremely frustrating.

Just installed today. I like it so far except that I washed a king size fleece blanket and had to reposition it then drain a spin because the washer wouldn™€™t balance. The machine was on the bulky setting. Otherwise everything seems to be good.

Has issues with the technology.

Washer does not fill to submerge clothes. Machine is very, very noisy. Frequently out of balance, it is supposed to be self-balancing.

Washer Turned into a missile

Top of washer exploded and flew thru the air like a missile. Still waiting for someone to come out and inspect the machine. The explosion dented the wall, the trim and our dryer. Scratched the floor. Our house is 10 months old and now needs to be repaired. washer was purchased in February. We™€™re lucky our pets and kids were not in the room when it happened otherwise they would have been severely injured.

THhis machine is junk. The lid cracked from the inside and as you used the washer it would continue to crack till it broke the whole lid off. The appliance people came out to look at it and ordered a lid 9 days ago and wont return calls about when the parts will be in. I have an 800 paper weight sitting in my basement that icant use

Looks great. The washer has plenty of room to wash large tings. It has a pre rinse cycle which is great. I need the extra features cuz I take care of my demented parents.

Not a Fan of Wi-Fi Appliances

The large capacity is a time saver. At first I thought that it wasn't filling up with enough water, but the clothes came out clean so I guess that's efficiency. The soap dispensing tray could have been marked better so each compartment is easier to read, and maybe a light to remind one to close the tray before lowering the lid. I chose not to use the wi-fi feature on this machine as I don't want to have to use my cell phone and another app. I dislike using my cell phone for anything other than calls and messages. I don't need everything I do being tracked, targeted, and sold in the name of convenience. Overall the machine performs very well and I am pleased with it. I hope it will hold up as well as my last GE washer.

Not happy with this product, the washer and dryer seem to be much louder than my old units, you have to wash it on bulky in order to get the deep fill, otherwise a normal wash there™€™s hardly any water in your clothes don™€™t get saturated, I would return them, but the appliance store charges a stupid restock fee
